A Spiritually Based Mental Health Service to the Frederick Community

Fredericktowne Pastoral Counseling Center is a not-for-profit ministry dedicated to meeting mental health needs through the services of a professional pastoral counselor. This specialized service combines contemporary knowledge of human personality with a sensitivity to the spiritual dimensions of life.

Our goal is to assist persons in their journey toward coping with life's difficulties as well as to find greater meaning in day-to-day living.

Counseling Fees are based on family size, income and circumstances. Services are available to people of all faiths, races and creeds. Call for an appointment, 301-695-5073,  9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Limited evening appointments are available.

Janice E. Daffern, Director, an experienced professional pastoral counselor and psychotherapist,  is an ordained minister with The United Church of Christ. Ms Daffern holds a clinical certificate in pastoral counseling and is a doctoral candidate in the field of counseling.

The Fredericktowne Pastoral Counseling Center is located in Kemp Hall at the corner of Market and Church Street in historic downtown Frederick, Md.
